What support and resistance are, and why they form
Support and resistance explained simply: price areas where falls or rises have stalled before, and the crowd memory and orders that create them.
Look at almost any price chart and you will see that the price does not move in a straight line. It rises, stalls, falls, and often stalls again near prices it has visited before. Traders give these areas names.
Think of support as a floor and resistance as a ceiling. The floor and ceiling are not solid. They can crack at any time. They only show where the market has reacted before.
