Volume, line charts and log vs linear scale
How trading volume helps confirm a move, when a simple line chart is better, and how log and linear price scales change what a chart shows.
Candles are not the only thing on a chart. Three settings make a big difference to what you see: the volume bars, the chart type, and the price scale.
Volume is the amount of an asset traded during each period. It usually appears as bars under the candles. Volume tells you how many people took part in a move. A big green candle on high volume means many traders were buying. The same candle on very low volume means a small amount of trading moved the price, and the move may be easier to reverse.
